Hi Sanyalsoumitra

I love your reviews, and you have some stunning pens, some of which I have sought out after seeing them in your posts.

That Great Wall series pen is a belter.

There was a "special edition" version with a gold nib on ebay early last year and I regret not buying it, as it certainly wasn't expensive, and I haven't seen another since, although I wasn't as "educated" then as I am now.:-D

Just keep them coming.

Some of those decorated pens are amazing.

So much for Chinese pens lacking originality..😂

You could do worse than get more Chinese pens Greg.

Some are unbelievable value for money.

Cheaper than the 316 but above the couple of dollar pens is the Hero 7022, which is another excellent pen.

The build quality is first class and it's a terrific pen to use, really well balanced and extremely robust.

Then there are the Huahongs...a bit more difficult to track down, and require a bit of patience to get at their cheapest, but well worth the effort.

I'm pleased you like your Kaigelu, and like you, I like the weight, it gives the pen a "presence" that adds to the overall quality feel.

What colour did you get?

Ian

Thanks for the encouragement Ian, you are probably right that I could do worse. With the exchange rate the way it is Chinese pens are still affordable. The next pen in my sights is a Jinhao, I think probably a 750 or perhaps their 450, either way will report my findings in this great post.

Ohh yes.

Being a bit of a Huahong fan.....

I've got to get me one of these.

How old do you reckon it is?
