Inexplicably, I occasionally lose my senses and buy pens that I really don't need; hard to imagine, I know. Over the past 3-4 years, I have collected all of the pens in the Izumo line and don't regret doing so at all...nope, not even the tiniest pang of regret...

You've done well my friend...

 

Thank you Roger for this comment. I was thinking if I should have got this pen, but once it arrived, on seeing the exquisite woodwork, I thought it was indeed a worthy purchase.

Today, I learnt that wenge (Millettia laurentii) is a different species again Indian Rosewood (Dalbergia latifolia) :P

If you had both woods in front of you you'd see how different the grain is.

But one thing irks me, for a broad size nib, dont you think the writing is much narrower?

Yes that's indeed true for these nibs. It might fall between a western F and M. The pen is handsome on its own, nib is a bit of downer. Thank you :)
