Please take a closer look at this "Double Jewel Ivory Colored" Esty I just won, especially the pic that shows both jewels. I'm guessing a lot of people passed right over it because of its poor description. Never judge a book by its cover!

 

And since I already have a black jeweled nurses pen, now I only need to find the green one!

Esterbrook made white pens specifically for Dr's and Nurses. The nurses pens came with either black, red, or green jewels. You would match ink color to The jewel color and that way other nurses and Dr's could tell what shift wrote which notes in a patients charts.

 

I'm not positive which pens color was what shift, but something like black was first shift, red was second, green was third. That's the idea behind them anyway. They are bigger than the purse pens but smaller than regular J's.

 

They are quite a bit more rare than other Esty J's, red and green being even more rare than the black jeweled.
