Removing Advertising From The Pen Body

Can someone point me towards a website with info for removing advertising from a pen? I don't know the first thing about it so any info would be good. Thanks.

It depends on how the advertising is put onto the pen; ink, paint or pressed into the pen.

In my case, I was able to use a pen polish to rub the ink off the pen without much trouble.

In other cases, I have seen paint so hard to remove that you have use something much more aggressive, like #400 sandpaper to remove the paint, then #600, then buff out the sandpaper scratches afterwards.

What sort of pen? If it is a Platinum Preppy, then Acetone Free nail polish remover does a fine job.
