I played around with Pelikan 4001 Red, letting a drop of other colors into the breather hole of the pen inked with 4001 Red, following Lgsoltek's suggestion. I really enjoyed the results.

Pen: Wing Sung 3008 with Lamy 1.5 stub nib.

Ink: Mostly Pelikan 4001 Brilliant Red.

Paper: Notami notebook.

The first quote is by Dante Alighieri, what's written on the doors to Hell. In English I reckon it's something like "Leave all hope all ye enter."

This is the title of a spin-off book in the Harry Potter saga. A book about many fantastic creatures, their characteristics and their habitat. A lovely reading.

A Room of One's Own is the title of an essay/article/book by Virginia Woolf. Extremely interesting reading, I've jotted down some quotes from this book and they will appear here soon.

Pen: Pilot Pluminix B.

Ink: Diamine Kelly Green. I don't know why it's so light here. I only cut the scan in Photoshop, I never mess with the color. It's possibly because of the paper.

Paper: Notami notebook.

Usually translated as "Abandon hope all who enter here."

Enjoy,

Yours,

From a person's actions, we may infer attitudes, beliefs, --- and values. We do not know these characteristics outright. The human dichotomies of trust and distrust, honor and duplicity, love and hate --- all depend on internal states we cannot directly experience. Isn't this what adds zest to our life?

A very recent habit (one year or so) of mine consists in writing quotes in the middle of notes. I mean notes as in notes I know I'll have to study/revise later. This brings one good consequence: I remember the quotes and can quote them during exams. But it also brings one bad consequence: I find it difficult to retain what is written immediately before and after the quote. I think my memory takes mental photograph of the pages I write, but the quote is so eye-catching in my mind that it eclipses the preceding and following notes. Because of this I think I better keep all my quotes in separate pages and keep my notes tidy without any fancy quotes.

Royal Blue, I love your practice of embedding notes within notes! Despite the problems they may cause, I rather hope you'll retain this habit. Thanks for the wonderful quotes (in so many colors!)!

Fred, you get so many points for quoting Star Trek!

madeline, thank you! I color-code my notes so I can take mental pictures of them better. So, for example, my Gothic notes are in the hues of brown, my Elizabethan theater notes are in the hues of violet/purple, etc.

This is another quote I found in my English literature notes. I didn't use a typeface, maybe I was in a rush?
