Thanks. The pen is a Parker 45 with a right footer oblique broad italic, nib code Z. Nice nib but I prefer the standard broad italic, nib code E.

Yeah, I can see that. Since you are doing italic, a "slanted hand", the oblique might strain your hand a little. The straight broad italic would be more comfortable and easier to control for italic. The oblique is generally considered better for uncial, Roman, half-uncial, etc, done as a "straight hand".
