J Herbin: Poussiere De Lune

This may seem like a strange question but is J Herbin's Poussiere de Lune actually made out of moondust?

 

I ask, as every online store on the internet both in the UK (and even Lacouronne du Comte) seems to be out of stock. I've been told the restocking times could be anything from one week to three months (Lacouronne du Comte informed me that their distributors are on holiday!!!).

 

So I've bought a 10ml bottle on ebay for now and gone with a replacement colour at LdC as they'd already taken payment prior to contacting me.

 

Is this colour that popular or are J Herbin phasing this colour out?

I do not believe the will discontinue the color, it's one of their most popular ones. In fact, it's probably because of its popularity that it's out of stock. Sooner or later it will be available again.

Don't forget that most of Europe, in particular France, still shuts down for most of August. That will include Herbin & their distribution network. So availability of stocks are likely to be difficult until production starts up again.

That was the place I ordered it from on Friday, only to be told it was out of stock

I've been trying to get a bottle of this color, too, for more than a year now. None of the vendors that I regularly checked ever seemed to have it. I thought it was just my bad luck. I have a few cartridges left, but I really prefer bottled ink.

Gouletpens.com says they have it in stock. There's even a new review of it on their blog, dated August 12. Not that we need it, we already like it.

They shut down for August. Wow, I wish I could do that Still grinding out 12 hour, or longer, days in August.

I don't see what the big deal with this is. I got it a while back and don't see anything special about it. Only used it once and promptly out it away.
