Help! Twsbi 580 Dis-Assembly Gone Wrong!

Recommended Posts

I tried to disassemble my TWSBI Diamond 580, which actually went pretty smoothly. I then inserted the entire piston back into the pen. The problem is that the piston knob does not fully unscrew now. I can't fit the TWSBI wrench into the slot because it's too slim. Any thoughts on how to go about fixing this?

Just because my TWSBI can be disassembled, does not obligate me to do it. I never have done it.

Something similar happens to me just about every time I disassemble my 580 and every time I turn to the same source to fix it.

Go to YouTube and look for a Goulet pens video on 580 disassembly. About halfway through, he starts putting it together again and tells you exactly what you must do to get the piston to screw back in/on properly.

Where is that video about how to do this?

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).
