You Collect Pens .. Could You Describe Your Ideal Place To Store Or Display Them?

I am the creator of The Pen Rest and from the feedback about my design members of FPN love it or hate it... That's life!

What I'd like to know is your description of the holy grail of all pen stands, pen rests, pen storage or displays.

Please would you describe your ideal product?

Perhaps not my holly grail, but what I'm currently using. This is my desk display of pens that I'm futzing with at the moment, the rest live in a cigar box out of sight in a desk drawer.

To be honest, my pens live in a case in a drawer. I don't want my ebonite pen exposed to light (fading of the ebonite) and the case I got as a gift has a glass top. It's just more convenient to put all of my pens in the drawer in their case instead of finding somewhere safe to stash the pen I want out of the light.

That said, for frequent use I like the idea of desk pens. I don't have one just yet (don't like the contemporary options, haven't found a good vintage one locally- I like the hunt for them) but having a pen in its cap standing out on my desk ready for use seems like a very good way to keep a pen handy. I'm rather fond of the Esterbrook eight ball sets, particularly the double, but that's just me...

I will say that I do like your design quite a lot. I didn't know about it until after the Kickstarter was over, but it's a good-looking design :)

Here to help when I know, learn when I don't, and pass on the information to anyone I can :)

My collection is in a case that I can put away.

Unfortunately I do not have the space for a display case.
