this is sepia? i was expecting to see more yellow or brown tone. but this looks more reddish on my screen.

Looks like a diluted version of Bungbox Piano Mahogany. The color your reviewing is a bit more mauve than the brown sepia colors I'm use to seeing, but it's the exact tint some of my parents and childhood photographs bear.

 

It's a warm cozy color; I like it.

 

Oh, and what pen did you use?

The text was written with the Hakase pen in front of the bottle, african burl with urushi finish and stub nib. Following the advice of mr Yamamoto of Hakase I rinsed the pen well after finishing this filling of sepia ink. I agree about that the color has a nice warmth to it.
