Pilot Iroshizuku Tsukushi And Nine Pens

I bought tsukushi almost one year ago while trying to find a more interesting colour to replace the black inks I had to use in official documentation. It never worked. Recently, I decided to use it up and started to fill some of my daily pens with it.

I admit I really dislike the colour and red stains on fingers, but using the ink over the last couple weeks helped me to focus on its other features. To sum it up, it is a well saturated good flowing and lubricating ink. However, it tends to feather a lot on most papers I use and does not show much shadowing, at least not as much as I expected. Saying this, both the Clairfointaine 90gsm and Silvine Pocket Notebook, in the attached sample, are rather very forgiving and most inks perform really well on them.

The great thing of using the same ink in many pens at the same time is the opportunity to observe the effect which a nib - fine or broad, dry or wet - has on the final ink appearance.

Thanks for the review.

I use this ink in a couple of my pens & really like it. However, It did take me a while to "acquire the taste" & see it's nice features.

Cheers,

Michael
