Thank you! The thief also stole the mail including a package of ink. He opened it in the stairwell and then threw it against the wall. He left with ink on his hands, his expensive jacket and his expensive shoes. I am fairly sure that he did not leave with the book.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

I am wondering how you could know that he had an expensive jacket and shoes. But if he got ink on them, that sounds to me like very poetic justice. And he got it from a lawyer's office. Beautiful! and let's hope you're right that he did not take the book, that you had already mailed it.

We did get video and pictures of him. I uploaded it around here. He hit a whole bunch of offices over a period of three weeks and he'd hit them repeatedly.

Like the butterfly, it will return to us. Eventually. Richer than it was by the additions of the one who has it now... he or she may be in the process of adding a masterpiece. Those do take time... Don't feel bad, Amber. Not your fault your computer was stolen!

 

I really would like to hear your optimistic voice, but unfortunatelly I think it is somewhere, taken by some one indelicate, and not coming back to us. :(

It is safe with me! Amber sent it to me two years ago and it got lost in a bunch of paperwork until today. Anyway, it is safe and after I have done some writing in it I will send it on to another Inkster. My bad.

I'm so happy it's found! I vote with Maria, please send it to Amber and hope she can find the time to scan some of the pages. When I had it, it was already fantastic, and it's been in so many more hands since then... Thanks Nyleen for finding it and posting here. This should be shared before we risk it again...
