The Travelling Arts Journal

I have received the journal and will have it in the mail on August 25th. It is really hard to choose what to put in it- everything is so wonderful.

That's so exciting!

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

That's the problem I had with it as well....

I am running behind. I just remembered to request Threadoryarn's address today. I will mail the Journal once I have the address.

Who's going to be the last one to receive the traveling journal (before sending it back to LuMA), is it Amber?

At any rate, before it's returned to it's owner (LuMA) can someone scan all the images? Having a bit of trouble contacting LuMA (for a different traveling journal) and while I'm sure life is simply happening to her (we all get overwhelmingly busy at times), I think scanning the images would be nice so that we can all share in what we've all contributed in the event that LuMA remains quiet for a while longer. :c)

Thoughts?

Yes, if you send it to me next to last, I can scan.

Scanning a journal is a very wise idea. That will allow everyone to see what was submitted after they held it, and is a way to "Share" ownership.

I was dumb, and didn't do that for my pages. I had really meant to, and then spent nearly a week being too scared to do anything with the book, and then didn't want to have it held up for the next person, since there's been a few hiccups in its journey already.

I haven't heard anything new about the TAJ for some time now. Is it still making the rounds? I look forward to seeing the scanned images one day.

I'm in, I'm currently in South East Asia so that would make a pretty cool trip almost circling the entire globe 😎😎

Well the TAJ (and its "stowaway") have made it to the Pittsburgh area. I'm almost afraid to do anything because everyone else has done such cool things. I did however bring it with me to the Steel City Nibs meeting last night and showed it around some.

What was the stow away?

IIRC, it was an origami butterfly (it was an origami *something*, anyway). It's been so long since I had the TAJ, I had almost forgotten about it. Don't remember now who put it in the book (there might be a clue in one of the entries); it certainly was in the book when it arrived at my house (I used to know how to do cranes, but never progressed beyond that, and haven't even done that in a long time).

I'll admit that I haven't thought much about the book at all since forwarding it on, except for every now and then, when someone says "I have it!" or "Anybody know where it is currently?" in this thread.

Please do scan the pages, Amber, if it's not too much trouble.

Luma has been quite busy as of late and I'm not sure when she'd get to it once received. Also, when the book is ready to be forwarded to Luma (the owner of the book) DM me for her newest address.

OH, Yes, I have the butterfly. IT IS AWESOME. I also have the book. I will be scanning it before sending it to Luma unless we have any others who want to add to the book.
