Blue Ink To Match Israel 60 Delta

I had a wee bit of unexpected cash, and decided to treat myself to a pen I've wanted for ages....the Delta Israel 60. It also felt apt as I was 69 in May

 

I'm looking for the perfect matching shade of blue, from a reasonably available in UK brand.

 

Any suggestions?

I had a quick ink-ventory check, and have already got Iroshizuku Morning Glory blue, and Edelstein Tanzanite, plus a couple of Diamines I like....Denim, Meditteranean, and another: my lovely pen has arrived(next dat delivery from Italy to UK.....that's good service) so I am going to choose one of those rather than wait for the postie.

Diamine China Blue

I have not seen that pen "in person," but, from the photos of it, Delta Blue is actually a pretty close match. So is Stipula Blue. Of the inks you mention having, I am familiar with Diamine Denim, and I would say it is too dark. Depending on how wet the nib writes, Irushizuku Shin-kai or Akkerman Indigo (#9) could also be good matches. A lot does depend on the nib and how its flow is set.

 

In any case, it is a beautiful pen. Use it in good health!

P.S. It wouldn't surprise me if the pen comes with a bottle of Delta Blue ink. My Dolcevita Stantuffo Oro did.

Many thanks, for the suggestions, and the good wishes. It writes beautifully, just wet enough for me, without being "skooshy" ....I had wondered how it would be - it's a fine nib, and I do like fine, but not *too* fine. To me, it writes like a fine/medium, which is perfect.

 

Yes, there is a wee bottle of a Delta blue with it!

 

I filled up with Iroshizuku asa gao....but Im very fond of a Diamine Beau Blue, which isn't exactly the proper blue shade, but I do really like it(Im not so much a blue person......reds and greys are my favourites)

 

I have another lovely one....pink, with silver, and a tiny silver dreidel inside the top.

 

Meanwhile, Im still on the lookout for a pencil with an Israel connection: I'd love a Silver one....

You should try the Delta Blue. It's nice, although nothing exciting. I don't know Diamine Beau Blue at all. Have never heard of it. I do like brownish reds and, to my surprise, I have recently discovered I like some wine-colored inks. I do like grayish blue inks a lot, but not particularly pure grays.

 

I have drooled over the Delta Sevivon, but it's rather pricey and rare.

 

I don't know offhand of any silver pencils with Israel connections. I happen to have an OMAS Israel 50th Anniversary FP put away. It is blue resin with a sterling silver "jacket." Might end up a special occasion present for a grandchild. If I come across a pencil that meets your criteria, I'll try to remember who it was that was interested in it.

Gorgeous pen! I have an Aurora Mar Adriatico which is pretty close and use Diamine Sargasso Sea. I think it is closer than the Aurora Blue IMO.

First of all ... a beautiful pen. For several weeks I´m thinking about the (gold-plated) lever model of the Delta Israel.

I would recommend the Pelikan Edelstein Topaz ink.

Thanks.....so, are you going to take the plunge?

 

Oh, and I meant Topaz, not Tanzanite Edelstein. I get some words mixed up/hard to remember( stroke after effects)...plus Topaz makes me think of golden yellow, which of course it isnt( and I don't know why it has that association in my head)....I must say Im very fond of the Edelstein inks, especially the Garnet: the ink is beautifully smooth and glowing, and the bottle is delightful.
