Ranga Model 4C (Regular Ebonite & Premium Ebonite)- Group Buy

Just got the gorgeous pen today, and two days ahead of the listed minimum delivery time to boot! Being clipless, Indian, ebonite, and matte will absolutely make it stand out in my collection, and that is exactly what I look for in a new pen. The Broad JoWo wrote beautifully, and put the Diamine Sherwood Green to paper almost without touching it. This is definitely going to be a daily carry.

 

There seem to be a single mistake made though, for I received two pens; an additional Fellowship Pillar came in the box, and was mentioned on the invoice, though I ordered only the one pen. Should I sent it back to you?

My Ranga 4C from the group buy arrived on Monday, and I am beyond pleased with it. I have several other Ranga pens, and the purchase experience has always been exceptional, from the charmingly sewn and wax-sealed parcels to the emails directly from Mr. Kandan rather than an automated shipping system. But beyond that, the group buy allowed so many choices that it really feels like I have a custom-made pen!

 

It's made from the premium ebonite in blue, green, and orange. I chose the clipless option mostly for the aesthetics of a clean shape.

 

I am most appreciative of Mr. Kandan's response to my request for a cap deep enough to allow use of a 35mm nib, resulting in a cap about 9mm deeper than that of my first 4C. The #8 Wality nibs are quite decent, but with the deeper cap I can install any 35mm nib at my disposal, from a flex nib to stubs and italics I've customized myself. It truly is the most beautiful and adaptable pen in my collection.

 

 

I currently have a FPR flex nib installed.
