Hi Prithwi, how did you find this Krishna ink? Who is the manufacturer?

Hi Sagar,

I was travelling for work and didn't see your message earlier. But I see that Vaibhav has already responded.

Regards,

Prithwijit

I have been very impressed with the ebonite pens coming out of India. I recently purchased the Ranga 4C in the group buy arranged by Mehandiratta in glossy black. It is a marvelous pen and has earned a prominent place in my daily arsenal. When I'm back home, I'll post a picture.

As promised...photos of my recently acquired glossy black Ranga 4C with bicolor B nib. This is an awesome pen. I've been very impressed with the pens currently being produced in India. Look for even greater things to come.

This pen writes like a dream and has a nice ink capacity. I use it with the included convertor and currently have Aurora Black on board.

The leather case in the last photo is from Franklin Christoph, specifically made to carry bank deposits but I use it as a pen/pencil case.

Here is a couple of pictures of my ASA Wizard in matte black ebonite. It's a beautiful pen, made extremely well, every bit as good as an artisan pen made in Japan or USA. Mr. Subramaniam of ASA Pens did a phenomenal job on this pen, the smooth section is the most comfortable shape I've ever used, next to the new PSP Ranga Zayante.

I paired this pen with an 18k Jowo F nib, and use it as an eyedropper filled pen. The flow is generous, the nib smooth and somewhat soft in how it feels on paper.

Just curious, how many turns does it take to close the cap on your Wizard? I just received one and it takes 6 whole turns, the most I've ever had on a pen...

Thanks. I'll reach out to Mr.Subbu. at Asapens and see about if I can get a pen with fewer cap turns on future orders as I'm very pleased with the form factor but a bit put off by the number of turns to close the cap.

Yeah, I am sure he can work this out for you. They are great people.

I love the shape and form factor of the Wizard. I generally dislike large pens, and Indian pens tend to be large. However, the Wizard is a smaller pen with a very comfortable section. Build quality is awesome, too.

Is the ASA Wizard a custom-made pen? I cannot find it anywhere on the ASApens website, or anywhere else in this forum.

It's the version of the ASA Genius that has the section threaded to fit a #6 Jowo nib unit and allows for cartridge/ converter use. You'll have to email or pm them for ordering instructions since it's not a standard catalog item yet.

Cool, thanks a lot. It's smaller than I thought. Still a cool pocket pen.

Thanks, guys! Yeah, a nice little pen. The Wizard is not listed on the ASA website, but if you send them an email, they will make one for you. I paid the same amount for the Wizard without a nib as I did for the Genius with an Indian-made nib. A great deal.

It's a beautiful pen! I also have an Advocate, but it's a flat top. Is yours a customized Advocate or do they make this model in two different variants?
