Thank you Kahler.

I am sorry, it has been a long moment this seller has no more pens for sale. I will let you know if ever he lists more pens, again.

I've thought about this pen in the past, however, was a bit concerned about the step down. Is it as sharp as it appears?

cjabbott,

Great Prasads, making me envious. Here's my small Swarna, to which I fitted an Ambitious nib.

Interesting! So it was reported that the clips were made by a specialist contractor, and they tend to ship out clips already branded; so two unrelated makers could have received clips branded Swarna and all their pens ended up being identified as such. Another example was Wilson: the firm never planned to use that brand name, but when the clips arrived they were already branded Wilson, so they just went ahead and used them, thus ended up with that name.

As Swarna has closed down, it would be hard to positively identify the actual maker of our pens. Supposing they were really by them, yours might have got a broken clip and the repairer put in a different one, and vice versa. Still, they are interesting witnesses to the Indian pen-making industry nonetheless.
