Fountain Pens Which Take Long Universal Cartridges

Apologies if there's a list already around....Im looking for which fountain pens take the long universal cartridges, rather than just the short ones.

 

Any suggestions very welcome.

The Waterman cartridge is a long universal cartridge. Almost all pens that will hold two short international cartridges or also use a converter will also take one long one. The main exceptions are the pens that use carriers. Often the carrier will have a ridge or stop between the cartridges that also prevents a single long one or converter from fitting. My Montblanc 147 is an example of such a carrier.

 

In fact I am using a Waterman cartridge today in my Yard-o-Led "Smythson" fountain pen.

Most Jinhao pens will take them, especially the x450, x750, and 159.

I have a Waterman cartridge in a Montblanc 144 and one in a Montblanc 145.

Italix Parson's Essential, Waterman Laureat (and presumably many other Waterman c/c pens), and Montblanc Noblesse, from my own experience. As jar has said, unless the barrel is unusually short or has some obstruction in it, as the 147 does, any pen of normal size that takes a short international cartridge or holds two of them will take a long international cartridge.

As noted earlier..if the pen takes short international cartridges

generally..a long cart will also work.................For your consideration

The Wancher 807 will not take a long international cartridge. It can take a short, or a slim slide converter.

 

The Kaigelu 316 will take a long international cartridge.
