Twsbi Eco Video Review - From The Nibsmith

Public service announcement: for those who don't subscribe to his channel, Dan Smith (the Nibsmith) has just posted a YouTube 'first look' video for the TWSBI Eco. A concise but comprehensive and, I think, pretty fair summary of the pen's features. Take a look if you're interested (and/or feel free to make your own?!).

His review has made purchasing this pen very tempting. He does a great job.

My TWSBI ECO just arrived - a black with 1.1 stub nib. So far, I'm favorably impressed. The aesthetics aren't great, but certainly it's not ugly. The ergonomics and function all seem good, with the piston action being particularly smooth. Overall, I like it a bit better than a Safari.

Btw, is the pen wet enough for s stub? I've heard some say that it runs dry.

Hello, I have a black Eco with the 1.1mm stub. I find it to be a good writer, not too dry yet not a gusher. I've tried perhaps a half-dozen varied inks in the pen over the past six months or so since I acquired the pen over-the-counter from the nice folks at Overjoyed in Singapore (http://www.overjoyed.com.sg/). Currently the pen is inked with Diamine Ancient Copper.

Of-course my pen is only a sample of one. Others may have different opinions.

The only complaint I have with my TWSBI Eco is that the cap keeps popping off when posted. But there's a whole separate thread here about that.

Enjoy :) David

I just ordered a white Eco with 1.1 stub from Goulet. I debated going to a fine or medium. Then decided to go this route.

I love my 1.1 stub, I think you'll be equally happy with yours.
