Has Sailor Changed Realo And Pro Gear Cap Logos?

I received a new burgundy Sailor Realo (Professional Gear shape) from a Japanese ebay seller today. All seems as it should be, but for a difference to the anchor logo on top of the cap. The first of the two pictures below is of the anchor logo on the cap of a Sailor Professional Gear Kanreki purchased earlier this year. It is the same style and material (gold-plated brass, per nibs.com) that I've seen on all my other Sailors with cap logos and in pictures.

The second picture is of the cap logo of the new Realo. It does seem to be on a little disc cut into the cap top, but otherwise is obviously different than the other logo. It doesn't have the black background that the other logos are set against; more importantly, it is entirely flat. The traditional logo is like an actual little anchor; it has texture and you can see it from the side. The one on the Realo might be painted on. However it is put on, it strikes me as obviously inferior in make and style. I might go as far as to call it kind of cheesy looking.

Can anyone confirm this is the new style for the Realos (and Pro Gears)? If it isn't, how suspicious should I be? Again, everything else about the pen (and box/papers) appears to be right. Thanks.

I think the logo on the realo is different IIRC...

Thanks. I'd love confirmation of this. The pictures I've seen have shown the same style as on my Pro Gear above. Also, why use a cheaper style of cap logo (I think that is accurate and fair) on a more expensive pen? Heck, even the Reglus caps have logos similar to the Pro Gear one I posted.

I think you are right. After seeing pictures from a couple different retailers, I thought that enough to show the logos used on the Realos were the same as on the Pro Gears. Plus, nibs.com describes the Realo logo in the same way as the Pro Gear logo. However, I just watched a couple of Realo videos at YouTube; both seem to show the same style of logo as on mine. Neither video is that recent.

A bit of a head scratcher to me why they'd use the different style. Pen companies must have their reasons for these little differences and changes.

The realo bodies are slightly different and therefore would be cast differently. I guess the designers would have made the changes when the new casts were created.

I have several Realos. Two black ones have a stamped logo like the second photo. A Pro Gear Realo II has a plastic dome over the anchor logo. The burgundy Realo has a stamped logo like the second photo.

I'm still trying to figure out how to list all my pens down here.

I can't say the same for the exclusive pens to other retailers though... such as the shumi bungu no hako skelton which I know uses the progear realo as well as CFP's homage to big red

The CFP cap logo is flat like the burgundy one above.
