'hello' From Southern Maryland

Hello, all.

I've been lurking around for little while and decided to post. I have a few inexpensive pens; my current favorite is a Delta Serena that my lovely wife got me earlier this year (we call it a combination Valentine's & Father's day gift!)

Welcome !

Your Delta Serena is a handsome, conservative fountain pen. While injection molding is the common production method, your pen is machined from a solid piece of material. I hope you are getting good use from a thoughtful gift.

Which other fountain pen do you have ? Do you hav e a favorite ink ?

I think of Northern Maryland as Baltimore and Central Maryland as the Washington DC suburbs. That would make Southern Maryland Clinton, and all those "Port-something" places. Is that you ?

This is a great place. Wonderful people and great advice. Enjoy.

Anyone like Ray Bradbury? Please read "The Laurel and Hardy Love Affair" if you have about 12 minutes.

You will not forget this wonderful gem that is largely obscure and sadly, forgotten. http://bit.ly/1DZtL4g

I am certainly low budget - I have a Waterman that I picked up at Staples a few years ago (Philias, I think) as well as a Cross from the same place, Pilot Metropolitan and a couple of Jinhaos (X450, X750) that I got in a two-for-one sale. I've just started looking at inks, having used cartridges so I don't have a favorite, yet.

You sound as though you've been here - perhaps Andrews AFB (now Joint Base)?

Maryland is typically broken onto four geographic parts - Western (the mountains), Central (Baltimore to DC), Eastern Shore (between the Chesapeake and the ocean) and Southern (south of DC). I am in Waldorf, between Clinton and the Port places - about 45-60 minutes south of DC. Yes, Clinton would be about where SoMD ends or starts.

Welcome to the FPN! I used to live on the panhandle -- BEAUTIFUL country.

Yes, Western MD is beautiful.
