Inks With The Traveling Pen

So, Tim has been gracious and has shared this strange pen. Tringle has already tried it, and I tried it, but couldn't make it work at first. Frank C, showed me how to use it and Bullfly7 tried it at our most recent pen posse. The pen is en route to Science Chick. Hopefully she can take some better pictures and show it in action.

So, when you are ready to try out this engineering marvel, post your name up here and you can PM the person who has it now. Keep in mind that eventually, it needs to return to Tim!

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Amberlea,

This is terrific! Keep it up, keep it moving, and if anyone is interested in keeping it at the end of its travels, let me know!

Interesting.

I think it works like the Pilot Parallel.

But I can't figure out how you would hold it reasonably comfortably. Can't see the scale/size of it.

I think you got chiselled. Seriously, it'd be a good pen to save ink on....

nah, was a find, cost nothing, and actually is a pen. A colleague, from Shanghai, told me her parents used them for calligraphy when they were children. I don't know where in China her parents are originally from, however.

Here is a T in Tropical Blue (Private Reserve) written with the pen.

Yay! I found the thread.....My attempt was haphazard at best. The nib section is very large, and guzzles ink. The handle is like holding silverware, but really an interesting piece.

I wish I did not delete all my pictures as I would post my goofy attempt at the pen.

Best to all!

Troy

Bullfly took them with her, and Frank took his. I'm looking for mine.

Hey, wait, Tringle, you had it first, where are your samples?
