Mohi Jumbo Eyedropper Pen

Hello friends ,

 

Here is new Indian eyedropper , The "Mohi Jumbo" fountain pen

This pen was gifted to be by one of my fellow friend residing at Aurangabad , India .

 

The pen is manufactured by "Abhay pen agencies , Aurangabad "

 

Design details :

 

This pen seems to be inspired fro the famous Airmail 69T Jumbo pen .

But it combines my favorite pen materials i.e. ebonite and acrylic .

Classic cigar shape,ebonite body having very thick cross sections. Cap,section,barrel are turned on a CNC lathe .

Overall a sturdy pen .

This is a large jumbo size pen , perfect for a user with medium or large hands hands.

 

Cap : Ebonite rippled brown colored cap with smooth finish.Flap top. Cap unscrews in just two full turns .Chrome plated broad clip is suitable for any kind of fabric.

 

Section : Smoothly finished section with slight hump at edge preventing slippage.Section is having single start threads.

 

There is very close fitting between barrel and section. Some silicon grease is required for daily usage.

Barrel : Transparent acrylic barrel is having thick cross section making it sturdy. Shiny finish but I found a bit less smooth as compared to Airmail Wality 69T of 71JT pens .

 

Nib and feed : This pen is fitted with iridum point nib. I fount it scratchy and thinking to replace the same with Wality or Ambitious nib.

Regular ebonite feed works well

Filling system : Eyedropper filled

 

Cost : No idea , as its a gift

 

Conclusion : A wonderful fusion of acrylic and ebonite .I feel Indian ebonite fans must go for this pen .

I agree. Airmail pen company provides the best finish on the lathe turned transparent pens. Their price is also much less as compared to other alternatives.

 

This pen does not have Mohi brand nib, no Mohi branding on clip?

Yes Hari ,

 

There is no Mohi branding on clip .

 

This pen have got no Mohi branded nib . "Iridum point Germany" found engraved on nib . The nib is deeply pressed in section like their other pens. And of course this might be the costliest pen from Mohi brand. Cost must be higher than Wality pens .

 

Any better option for replacing nib ? I am going for ambitious nib .

Once you have removed the nib, measure its length from tip to heel and the width across shoulders and email me. I have a lot of nibs, I will send you a suitable replacement.

What is the procedure to get this....

 

The only two things I don't like is that ladder clip... And that white imprinted branding... Nib I can take care off...
