The Super Duper Co-Razy Parker Penman Sapphire - Blue - Comparisons Psp

I hate to say this but I thought Bleu Pervenche was vulgar compared to Navajo Turquoise. Just my taste, but I thought NNT was much more subtle in all ways.

It should be mentioned that Noodler's La Couleur Royale sheens very nicely.

Oh.... I didn't realize that.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Here are my additional submissions. Kobe #37 Island Blue once again using my Omas Bologna and Lamy 2000. Also other blues: Faber-Castell Cobalt Blue - which I am liking more and more each time I see it, Caran d'Ache Idyllic Blue and KWZI #54 IG Blue Black, which looks like a good match in the bottle but not when written.

In the original thread where member mhphoto posted that LCR review photo, reproduced by Amberlea here, there were a number of questions asked about the accuracy of his scan. The conclusion seemed to suggest that his photo was way off.........

In other reviews it still looks a lot darker than your latest bottle though Tas. More a dark royal blue.

The scan is accurate to my eye.

If it helps, it's very very similar to Blue Velvet.

I wasn't doubting your scan Tas. One reason I buy Noodler's inks with caution is because of the variability I've experienced with their colours. I have two bottles of Burgundy, for example, which are actually quite different. Blue/purple shades are notoriously difficult to reproduce, so maybe LCR has changed slightly over the years?

My bottle of La Couleur Royale received this week doesn't look anything like your scan. Mine looks just like the scan Amberlea posted with which you disagree. It shows lots of purple - not at all like Blue Velvet.

If I try any mix with more LCR than 1:3 LCR to NT, the LCR completely overwhelms the NT and all I see is dark dark blue with lots of purple tone.

Tas, that LCR is NOT what I have. LCR is the most purple dark ink I have ever seen. It's really a royal purple. Here is another comparison.

Oh my.

This isn't going to universally work then.

Perhaps the original original mix of dcwaites with Diamine Sapphire & Majestic etc or my Blue Velvet & Majestic variation is the way to go as Diamine are seemingly a lot more consistent in their batches than the lovely Noodlers.

What a shame.

Will post everything to you today for another chapter  to begin. Who'd have thought one ink quest would have caused all this fuss ? :)

If ever an ink was going to cause this kind of fuss, it would be PPS.

I'm afraid this scan is a bit off. Amberlea, I'm sending the original back today! Thanks for letting me participate in this CRV.

Excellent. Easy to see what's going on as you've cleverly included some "staples" that are in my drawer.

Mine is worse and waaaay messier
