The pen looks lovely. Your description of the deep engraving helps understand the quality of the plating. I enjoyed your post.

Groupon has never tempted me, but then I had no idea they would have fountain pen coupons. Wow!

The groupon deal was a belter.

My wife says they are usually pretty naff but you get the odd good deal, and this was certainly one.

I had never heard of Earnshaw before, but they appear to be a well respected watch maker and jeweller.

I'm certainly delighted with my pen, and it just has a "qualty" feel and look about it.

Thanks everyone for the lovely comments...I'm tempted to show her, but then she'd know all about FPN and I'd really be for it..

I know all too well that if Laura is my answer, then I definitely asked the right question.

bbs.....Not a chance of the Delta being neglected, as I make a point of using it every day....even if just to write down nonsense and rubbish.

Thanks everyone for reading me wee story....I thought it would be a bit more interesting than "My wife bought me a pen"

So, now that I've shown myself to be a "Big Saftie" and Laura to be an Angel....Whaddya think of the pen?

Oh, yes, the pen! It's beautiful, and it looks like it does your lovely penmanship justice by laying down a nice clean line. I'm highly distractible, so a good story will always stray me from the central focus.

You'd better. Ribbing gets old really fast.

But you don't understand, her obsessions aren't nearly as sensible as mine! :D

Like the 'vintage' look of the pen! Seriously, I had a look at Thomas Earnshaw's website and really liked the design of the watches - seems the pen is designed with the same traditional style and attention to detail.

That was a heck of a deal your wife spotted too!

I chose my user name years ago - I have no links to BBS pens (other than owning one!)
