Asa Daily

ASA Pens has launched ASA Daily and it looks like a really good buy! It's available in interesting ebonite colors - forest green (a lighter, brighter, green), yellow tiger. The size too looks just right for an EDC. With the Schmidt unit, it would be a reliable writer.

I wouldn't call it more expensive. Both Swan and Daily come with Schmidt nib units. Swan is in a different material from the Daily, and is made as a pocket pen. To me, both look like they're priced just fine. Also, I think the current Swan pricing is an introductory offer.

I've unscrewed the nib unit from my Swan

I am using the Made in India ebonite beauty.... DAILY which is an inexpensive eyedropper pen from ASA pens.

This one comes with Fine Nib made by Ambitious in India.

The other iteration is one which comes with 3 in 1 mechanism as in can be used with converter, cartridge and as an eyedropper.... though at little extra cost

I got one in black with Schmidt unit. I like a good sized grip and reliability. Usually that means spending a fair amount, but this was a pleasant exception. There are a few minor pits in the ebonite, which I understand is typical, and it takes a few turns of the cap to open, but those are minor concerns for my use of letter writing. I really enjoy using this pen.
