Vanness from Little Rock should be there, along with every bottle of KWZI they can get their hands on. Don't delay, though--it'll fly off the shelves.

We are waiting on a shipment of KWZ now; cross your fingers it doesn't get stuck in customs.

See you in a few weeks!

I'm also looking forward to seeing the Eversharp Deco Band pens that Syd is promising to bring to Dallas! Maybe someone will have the new Pelikan 800 Burnt Orange for a gander also!

BUT most of all I can't wait to see all my pen friends! I so miss the pen banter! Didn't get to attend the Little Rock show this year and have been yearning for some pen show action!

You'll love the Deco Band. The nib is amazing and the workmanship is top notch.

Does anyone know if any vendors sell KWZI inks at the show?

If you call or email Vanness Pens and pre-order, I think they'll deliver it to you at the show. Assuming you already know what you want! ;)

I second ScienceChick's suggestion. The Vanness inks can go in a flash, but if you've pre-ordered (IF you know what color you want) it will keep you from possible disappointment. The Akkerman inks last year flew off the racks in no time!! (We didn't have a KWZI choice yet.)

So, what's your point?

Good idea. I'll email Lisa today. I want some IG Blue #2 and IG Blue-Black.

Another item: I ordered some clip-on name tags from Amazon--wanted something to write my FPN name on. Had to buy a whole box, of course, so I'll bring them to the show if anyone else wants one.

Is there a set rendezvous point were we will all be meeting and joining up to introduce each other or will it just be hit or miss while we are at the show?

LuMA, I like your idea. Last year it was hit and miss, but mostly miss!!!

It will depend on who is attending on what day. SC and I will be there both days (the usual), but many only come for a brief time. And there are also others here that don't want their identity know, muahahaha!

So, what's your point?

Well, I am left-handed.

Back when my dad was in the printing business, everything I had was engraved. I sure miss those wholesale prices.

I can't wait...... bags are packed and ready. LOL. The Houston area Lone Star Pen Club will be there with a Welcome table for those that are from the Houston Metro area and don't know about us. Find us and pick up a flyer. Have questions about our club, stop by. I do agree with everyone, that I always come home with more than I wanted or thought that I wanted. Its a great show and a great time.

I'll be there at the Salamander Pen Company booth. We will have lots of ink and pens and maybe a few suprises as well.

Hi Vanness,

Will you provide bottle inks from the Bungbox this time? :o

I am going to be looking for a Pelikan Rappen with the demonstrator barrel. If anyone one has one I will be interested. I posted some pictures on my twitter for anyone is interested in seeing one.

I'll be there!

Just got the workshop info from Mark Walker yesterday. I don't think this is set in stone, as he informed me that these are the workshops as of this time:

Seminars, Saturday Sept. 26

Ebony Room, First Floor

10:00 am-11:00 am

Handwriting as Art

Kaligrafos

11:15 am-12:15 pm

Personal Letters and Stationery

Michael Kovacs

12:30 pm-1:30 pm

Basic Fountain Pen Repairs

Joel Hamilton

1:45 pm-2:45 pm

What’s New in Modern Pens?

Susan Bowen and Laura Chandler

This is my first show and I don't know what to expect. Any pointers? Also, as far as I can tell, there is no pre-registration required. Do we just show up and we're in?

FYI - rooms at the DoubleTree are no longer available as of yesterday. I ended up renting a small house in the Bishop Arts area.
