My first attempt! It's challenging!!!!

Challenging indeed! I'm still going through my basic training. Suetterlin is fascinating, but Kurrent is even more so.

Congrats! Looks more than promising. Glad you liked my sketch.

Please forgive my childish writing. As I am relearning how to write with pen and paper, from using a keyboard since i was a child.

So fine... I'm speechless.

And here's a Robot party update:

Alas, Yama-Dori looks bland on this brown paper.

There will be some Kurrent next week. I've already got 12 pages full of weird characters, there's more to come.

Regarding paper: it's a fake Nietzsche book, received as a gift from a friend who bought it somewhere in Eastern Europe five or six years ago. Today I found it in a drawer. No trademarks, no manufacturer's name/address, nothing. Sorry.

Yay! Looking forward to seeing your Kurrent! Fake or not, how cool to own a Nietzche book! Nice that your inks behaves so nicely on the recycled pages. It must have some sugarcane-like fibers in the mix?

And gosh, your writing with the "crazy flexible oblique broad oblique nib"! So beautiful. I really enjoy seeing the range of your wonderful handwriting.

Right guess about the paper. I believe a drier ink like Pelikan 4001 would behave even more nice. Have to try (never used the book with a fountain pen). And - thank you!

Exactly!

russian company "бюро находок" makes them. it's a series of notebooks all looking like old books and subtextually funny, like, say, freud's the unconscious, gogol's diary of the madman, and others.

Thank you for the prompt answer Skysora, is the script difficult to read or do you decipher unfamiliar words by context? I did research studying the journals of 19th century American Diplomats in Japan. The lack of standardized spelling made it challenging to decipher at first, until read by context.

I am working on a French Style Round Hand. I still don't slant and my spacing is irregular, but it's getting better.

The Yamanaka and the TWSBI arrived today. Loaded the first with Old Man Winter and the second with Mysterious Blue. Now I'll go disappear for a few hours, dreaming up work to do so I can use the pens.

Well done Eli !

The party guests are getting more and more.

I also met somebody, but he is not happy that he has to wait in the queue.

He keeps talking something about a plant and a important mission and that he has to enter the party right now ......

Ptero, he was not allowed in to the party because he's forgotten about his girlfriend. She took a little longer to get dressed and pretty up so she was just fashionably late. Now she's here, he and she can go in as a couple.
