Don't Just Tell Us About The Pen You're Using, *show* Us! - 2015-Ii

Somehow, I think you do have the patience for it. I've got to give it a go myself.

Somehow, it seems you're right. I'm kinda hooked. It's a lot easier than I thought! Once in a while, this good community will suffer from my Suetterlin and Kurrent variations.

Great work Eli !

Keep it coming,

Do you collect those "Weird Tales" (fantasy and horror) Magazines?

I also didn´t knew Eric till now, just googled it, it´s from 1928 you catched him well.

Guys keep the Robots coming, there is still plenty of room at the party !

Thanks, Ptero. You're a great enabler - I haven't made a doodle this size for ages (it's A4). But your Optimus Prime surpasses them all! Impressive look, lively colors.

I don't collect magazines, just have a soft spot for 1920s-1930s ephemera, incl. pulp and sci-fi cover art.

Eli Thanks and your robots are so characterful and bursting with expressions! Love them.

Ptero Hello Optimus Prime! I wonder what all those robots are going to drink at the big Party. Motor oil? And dance to what music? What's that music that goes "domo arigatto mr. roboto" over and over again? That's so 80's isn't it, showing my age now... :P

Thanks a lot! My Robots are flattered. And the music... Of course it can be Mr. Roboto (recorded by Styx back in 1983, quite right you are), but maybe our guests will prefer something more up-to-date, like Robot Rock by Daft Punk? Or quite the opposite - a timeless classic like Kraftwerk's The Robots?

Practice, patience, perseverance

Welcome to the thread Penwash. :W2FPN:

This was a great introduction with your first post here.

Your drawing is awsome, I like it very much.

Please show us more! :puddle:

Thank you and I love your sketches too. Plus, yours have filled in colors (I'm jealous because I'm still too chicken to try watercoloring my sketches).

One day soon...

No, it does not. As the new guy, you have to send the pen and the ink to and old guy, me for example, for verification. Once I confirm that everything is in order, I may send the pen and ink back to you.

Cool picture.

From the legends I heard, "old" FPN guys has the magic to transform a TWSBI into a Namiki Falcon when it's verified and returned to the newbie. Are you the one? If so, I'll send you the TWSBI right away :D

It sure does. Neat sketch, great choice of ink for the subject matter.

Thank you kindly!

Aaaaanddd!!

Shout out to Eli, SNAK, Pterodactylus. Your robot sketches are awesome!!! :notworthy1:

Thank you very much Eli, Snak, Mhphoto, Penwash, I really enjoy it when somebody likes my drawings. :bunny01: :D :bunny01:

Eli, keep sketching and drawing,

Less than 2 years ago "Line" here on FPN made me start sketching here in this thread.

After more than 25 years without drawing anything (beside some doodles when i was bored during meeting every now and than) I started.

And it is great fun, there are new worlds to discover, so many possibilities, I really enjoy it.

Penwash, just do it, do not think about it.

I´m keen to see something new from you.

Maybe you can also send a Robot to the Robot party ;)

Hmmm Snak,.......Music and Drinks.... To be honest I have no idea what music they prefer and which drinks.

I also have memories from the 80s ...... we are getting older...... it´s a little scary to see how fast time goes by...... and that some members here are not even born in the 80s.

--------------- Breaking news Regarding the Robot party ---------------

I heard from good authority that also Cylon Centurions will join the party.

So I strongly recommend that human beings DO NOT join the pary.

Please stay out of sight as otherwise this might the last thing you ever do in this life. .......

Not at all a good photograph but...drawing of our lovely state flower, The California Poppy, done with my new Pilot Penmanship inked with Namiki Black. The pen kept skipping which is a bother when you're trying to draw, but it has a very nice extra Fine nib.

I believe I need to invest in a really dark black ink for photo and reproduction purposes. I have Noodler's Black, maybe I will try inking the pen with that next time.

Pterodactylus, I'll collect some data in my brain to prepare myself for the robot party.

I like robots, but never sketched one.

For now, here's the sketch for this week.

Imagine the breeze in Autumn, as leaves fell and the waters stir with the first brush with the cold wind from the north.

As you probably all know by now, I really suck at drawing... That doesn't keep me from trying once in a while...

This is just some scratches of R&K Alt-Goldgrun (Twisconti 580AL), Sailor Doyou (Pelikan M805 Demonstrator) and Sailor Tokiwa Matsu (Pilot VP).

Can you tell what I tried to draw?

Well done Coop, you already created the wood where your Robot is still hiding.

You just have to let him out of the wood to join the Robot party :)

Go, Robot, Go! There's a party downtown!

I am using my Ranga Model 3 paired with Sailor Tokiwa Matsu on the occasion of Deepawali ....

Wish you all happy Diwali / Deepawali...

Have a happy holiday! Great penmanship as usual - and a gorgeous green 45 in your other post.

I better won't mess with Centurions. So scary... From now on, I drink my beer with humans.

And the title "Enabler's thread" is well deserved by this glorious virtual club. The most important is not to enable your neighbor to buy this or other pen, but to make him try something new. Line did it for you, and you - for me. Thanks.

Happy Diwali to you as well! And very nice pen! Hmmm. Makes me wonder what pen I'll get out appropriate for the Festival of Lights. What's my brightest pen...?

I love that Regency Blue from the Diamine 150yrs series. I have several bottles, waiting for times when I will have to write more than these days...

And that 45 is a tremendous workhorse, Love it. (as well as your elegant handwriting...)

I was wondering (sort of) the same thing... One of my (ex-)colleagues was from India, he referred to it as Devali. I figured it had to do with phonetic translations etc, but Deepawali is quite different...
