This guy heard that a big Robot party is happening on FPN.

He hopes that many others of his colleagues will join shortly.

So don´t disappoint him and let the others also join the Robot party. :bunny01: :bunny01: :bunny01:

Not around much these days. Four weeks sick with walking pneumonia will kind of take you out of your normal routine. But had to pay a visit on this Fountain Pen Day.

But the pen I have most enjoyed using today is not, alas, a fountain pen, but it is so nice to use I had to share.

Thank-you for pointing out this thread to me. Great stuff here, including your robot! :)

Thanks! Just lovely.

I was bored, so I started writing nonsense in Uncial. It's been a while since I played around with Uncial, so I was just writing stuff that allowed me to use as many letters as possible in a way that also made me giggle. The pen is a cheap Manuscript calligraphy pen with a 2B nib, the ink is Noodler's Heart of Darkness. The lighting managed to wash out the ink and paper, in real life the HOD is quite dark and the paper is a nice brownish gold...next time I should probably meter my phone off of a grey card or something.

Happy Fountain Pen Day to Ptero, Robot, and everybody here!

Regarding your previous comment: my Lilliput is brand new, but showing some bracing already. It's alright with me - a pen like this SHOULD look a bit old.

My experience with Chinese pens is surprisingly good. The amber Kaigelu is a keeper, nuff said; the Cayman, received as a gift, has a number of design/finish issues, but its nib is simply wonderful; finally, my Hero 329s are a pair of smart writers (here's a review written a couple of months ago):

I'm sorta new here (and new to fountain pens in general).

Does this count as showing how a pen is used?

No, it does not. As the new guy, you have to send the pen and the ink to and old guy, me for example, for verification. Once I confirm that everything is in order, I may send the pen and ink back to you.

Cool picture.

Wow, that's unobtainium right there! How does the #10 nib write? Any flex?

Thanks for showing us.

Hehehehe, quite a bit actually! I need to scan a writing sample.
