This is my daily workhorse (and only fountain pen in fact!) the Pilot Metropolitan with Namiki Black Cartridges. I don't have fancy kit, or indeed decent handwriting, but I still enjoy myself! Points to anybody who can recognize the passage I've copied in this photo!

Best regards,

Justin

A Pilot Metropolitan is a good solid pen. You would have to spend quite a bit more money to get a pen that may only write slightly better. Your handwriting is quite legible, although I don't recognize the passage copied. I believe that you have found the essence of fountain pen use, getting a pen you like, an ink you like, putting them to use, and enjoying yourself while doing it.

Be careful hanging around FPN. The next thing you know, you will own 20 pens and 30 bottles of ink and will still just be writing with one pen at a time!

I'm still trying to figure out how to list all my pens down here.

Only 20 pens and 30 bottles of ink? Multiply that by a factor of 'x' and you may be getting close!

Thomas Earnshaw? Not known to me... Is he an indie penmaker?

At first I thought you had an ST Dupont there...

Nice looking pen.

I like photos catching pens "in the wild". Thanks for making these.

There is a risk when picture them in the wild, you can drop it, lost it...so it's a bit of a challenge!

Thank you for kind comment!
