Ahem, wait till you try HOD. Oh my. It's the ink Dementors would use . . . :) :)

The name of the ink alone scares me :)

Here's a sample of the writing done with my new Pilot Hero Custom 92, inked with Iroshizuku Ina-ho.

First thoughts on using the new pen: I like the thinness of the line. This characteristic, taking into account its ink reservoir compared to my other pens that use standard converters, makes it a useful note taking companion at work.

My sole issue so far, it's slightly scratchy on upstrokes. My lower case d particularly suffers when I am writing - the line is particularly thin and sometimes it skips on that stroke alone if I don't apply sufficient pressure. I imagine some adjustment of the nib may help this? As a novice, I have no idea. I will try to go to the ROC in Paris on November 21 and see if any new pens join the family and whether anyone that does work on nibs attends. If so, I may take a couple of pens to adjust. If not, I may have to send it to someone capable.

Well too much off topic! Enjoy the pictures!

Fountain pen novice. I am aquiring pens at a frightening pace, I am afraid it might be an addiction... I see I am not alone here on FPN! Latest acquisitions - Platinum 3776 Kumpoo with Diamine Eau de Nil, Opus 88 Koloro inked with Diamine November Rain, Franklin-Christoph Model Pocket 66 prototype inked with Franklin-Christoph Honeycomb.

The Edison Nouveau Premiere is a dream to use, unfortunately, the J Herbin Emerald of Chivor ink bottle is not.

My Midnight Thunder came in yesterday (EF nib). Just like the Lilac version, I adore it.

Inky fingers, the universal sign of pen enthusiasts. Wear it with pride!

A "neater" solution would be a reusable, industrial blunt tipped syringe (Amazon has it). One pen aside, I use ink syringes exclusively to apply ink to eyedroppers, plunger fillers, converters and empty cartridges--changed my inky life!

Ink, a drug.

+1 to that! :)

Although I do wash my hands after messing around with ink. :)

Flex writing is not my forté, bu this is what the nib can do, with light-ish pressure (don't want to ruin the nib, in ignorance :) )

Thanks for the demo Perf! Mmmm will have to consider adding another Falcon to the collection... maybe in November? Depends if there's something interesting at ROC Paris 2015!

Anyone with an Omas 361? Need some written sample please, front side an back side.

I have one as well as the OMAS VS, which is essentially the 60s version of the same pen. It has the same double sided nib and is a piston filler with a sopping wet feed.

Unfortunately you've got me a little bit of a bad time it's two in the morning here and I'm leaving tomorrow morning for a short trip but if I have a chance I will try to remember to take a quick and dirty photograph of my beloved 361 in action. It is a fantastic little pen and the flex side is a real gas. If I don't remember please feel free to put it back on my radar via message.

There is a 361 thread and you can check that for some links and info. I Believe there was a guy over there offering to unload some of his spares (he had dozens of them including Arco finishes) but his prices were not good at all.

Thanks for your nice words about my green bamboo pen. I was torn between the plain green ebonite or the green ripple ebonite because, the pen is "bamboo" but I am glad I went with the plain green. Thanks for inspiring me to get my own. I love your blue bamboo too, I always thought it was way cool whenever you showed it to us. So thanks for the inspiration.

I would love to see your other ebonite Indian pen that takes Easterbrook nib units? That sounds interesting.

Hey Folks,

sorry, long time no post.

I was busy with other things, no time for posting, writing and drawing. :(

--

Ptero, it's so nice to see your post and your artwork on the thread again. You were missed!

I'm not really using the pen, but I just got my White Knight kit (S.T. Dupont).

Unfortunately, I have no idea about photography, so I just used my iPhone to take some really bad shots. I included some photos from Bryant so you guys can actually see its beauty.

That White Knight pen set is really something. The knight even has his own sword? Is that a letter opener? Wow.

I absolutely love your hand... And wow what a choice.. Love the pen color... Its beautiful...

Thank you so much mehandiratta, for your kind words, and also for recommending the bamboo pen. It has been a nice addition to my pen family.

Nice bamboo style fountain pen, ink and handwriting!

Thanks carretera! I really love your handwriting too.

The Edison Nouveau Premiere is a dream to use, unfortunately, the J Herbin Emerald of Chivor ink bottle is not.

:D Did you get the "what happened to your hand?" comment from family/friends? Or are people around you all very used to seeing your hands inky and colourful?

Please don't stone me, but I HAD a Baoer 801 with a broken nib (I dropped it).

I HAD an Eversharp Fifth Avenue that disintegrated (it crumbled to pieces).

Now I HAVE a Baoer brushed steel 801 with an Eversharp 14K nib, and PR Ebony/Green fingers after the operation.

It writes very, very, nicely. I swear!
