mehandiratta: Pretty pen. Is that Camlin Blue-Black a dye-based ink, or is it an iron gall ink? I like how dark and almost black it is.

Clouds: I love your Swan Minor!! Your handwriting looks really nice with that nib. I wish I could write neatly like that. I think you should keep the pen! ;)

Amberlea: Wow you have a collection happening there. Which one is your favourite colour? I don't mind a gold one myself.

perfaddict: That Parker 51 Aero looks like it is a nice and wet writer. I like juicy pens!

Noihvo: Nice pen and ink colour matching. What is your green ink?

Tas: I ADORE your drawings. Did your pen work smoothly on the texture of the watercolour paper?

I love that moody atmosphere in this drawing. More please!! :happyberet:

 Thank you SNAK. Praise indeed.

The Edison Hudson EF and Ellis Island performed impeccably on the textured watercolour paper. So much so that I intend to use it a lot more.

(My humble Nib Creeper on the other hand hated the paper and refused to play in this sketch but we worked it out in the end)

"Juicy" describes this pen aptly.

Noihvo: Nice pen and ink colour matching. What is your green ink?

It's just Diamine Sherwood Green. Have been having some baby's bottom issues on the nib, but I'll see if it works out by itself. Cleaned it with just water before first fill, might try dish detergent next time. And I don't think Sherwood is a particularly dry ink, is it?

Such incredible pens and inks and writing! I look away for a couple of days and there's so much to admire and drool over!

The Darth Vader! the Swan minors! And what are those pens that Amberlea pulled out? I don't think I've seen them before.

More great runes with a sacred green stick, a gorgeously flexible sacred golden stick, and a dark and moody scene.

I've been too busy diving into my obsession current pastime of dip nib writing. I've picked up a few (hundred) dip nibs recently on the Bay and I'm going crazy.

I am settling down to actually using them and figuring out why these were so popular in their day. My current is the Esterbrook Falcon 048, one of the most common and popular general nibs of the time. I can see why.

As the song says, it's a whole new world, and when I can pick up several hundred quality nibs for less than the price of a TWSBI Classic, it's been good to my tightly constrained pen budget as well.

The downside is that there's not much prettiness to contribute to this thread. Oh, well.

Hello SNAK...

Its a dye based ink.... Actually this one is homebrew mix of camlin Royal Blue and camlin permanent black... In 1:2 ratio... And no, it's not iron gall ink.. Yes its dark lovely color...

These were with me a little vacation last week. Of course, I was sick on the first two days...So I took some pen shots and practiced a little italic writing with the TWSBI
