This is one of five I have inked right now, but this one is at the top of the line because the ink is brand new!

In Omas solidarity, here's the threesome with which I've been writing. These nibs have a certain pleasing flamboyance and the italic nib on the purple Alba is wide and wild. I like 'em all and the extra flessibile nibs are incredible. The new cocktail versions look great too -- good thing they didn't make a Martini model or my hyperactive credit card would have once again come flying out of my wallet. Ah, but that Bloody Mary Alba is so nice . . .

I also love the, well, borrowing of pen models by Chinese companies. My favorite example: the excellent Platinum #3776 Jupiter model from Japan, and the Duke #962 Uranus model from China…

The Uranus is not hard rubber like the Jupiter, but it sure does a good job imitating it. And truth be told, the Uranus is a great pen for the $12 it costs.

Who else loves to get a white pen nice and grubby? I admit that was the main draw of this Staedtler Initium in White Maple.

Oh nice one! White wood is unusual, does it show those pinkish woodgrains (for want of better word) in real life? It looks pretty.

Now you can fling the paint ink around on your blotter with abandon! I enjoyed your blotter art that you used to show us. Do you still do that?

Snak : Wonderly drawing. The pens you have got have reason to feel proud of being with you ! Congrats.

Thank you pankaj, you are very generous with your compliments.

That's beautiful. Such lovely expressive lines . . .

Fog Grey has now made it onto the list. The list which until recently had over 25 candidates but has been culled to a more attainable 9, 10.

Thanks Tas, actually Document Fog Grey isn't really one of my favourites. It is a dark smokey blue rather than grey colour that I hoped it to be, so I am mixing it with other Document ink colours to use it up. I was hoping to mix up a warm grey with the three primary colours added to it, but it just ended up being a mud colour. However, mixing Document Black and Document Brown yields a warmish dark grey.

I still would like to try ink wash with non-waterproof ink to try out what you do so well.

Another Vac 700 user today! I am using mine as a drawing pen by making it into a Franken Vac. :)

Sorry, I can't remember--what paper are you using?

I thought I'd fatten things up this week with the addition of my Delta to the rotation.

Pens are loaded with fairly boring inks (Pelikan 4001 Black, Blue black, and Mb Toffee Brown).

The pinkish colour is not from the wood, SNAK. It's actually from the ink stains on my fingers that I intentionally (or at least, didn't make any effort to prevent) transferred onto the barrel. The white maple finish originally looked like this. You could say I'm trying to build up a multi-coloured patina on the woodgrains. :)

The black and orange celluloid is pretty cool. :)
