I'm inspired! Gonna dig through my wood scraps. I think I have a small section of bamboo or reed about that size.

Very cool!!!

That is the coolest of those magnetic ball desk pens I've ever seen! I have a parker 51 medium at my desk at work but it's a generic small square slab of alabaster and it's not one of the magnetic ones. Love this one. Thanks for showing us!

Actually, I'm not using a pen just now. I'm waiting for my office mate to leave so I can swipe his Pelikan.

line and AAAndrew,

Thanks for kind comments!

line,

I also think its dangerous to use your deskpen at work. You can have a office mate like uemuraw that is waiting you leave to play with your pen. :lticaptd:

Do you know my daughter... oh wait, she just does it in front of me. I'm off to liberate my pens.

Another gorgeous pen. That's truly regal looking. I don't know why, but it reminds me of an elephant. Maybe the clip? (but don't see how) It just has that solidity, stateliness and splendor. Looks big, too.

Yes it is gorgeous and wonderfully handcrafted.... Amazing job they have done...

Writes and flexes like a trUE full flex dip pen. Feed cannot keep up with full page flexing. Needed to prime the nib everyother 2 lines of text, hence the necessity of the piston filler mechanism. Much better than carrying a bottle of ink.

vintage Aurora 88, first gen, late 1940's

It has a slightly out-of-tune stubbish nib and is pretty wet but it's still a beautiful writer.

Ink is Iro Syo-ro.

I like that old Aurora! I need to learn more about them.

Continuing my Gone-But-Not-Forgotten tour, I'm taking out my neglected pens that don't get much write time and filling them and using them for a day or two. This has been fun! I'm starting to change my mind about some big pens as I write with the Legacy. But tonight I'll try some longer writing sessions and see if that pleasant experience sticks around.

The Targa was my first fountain pen, given to me back in 1982. The TWSBI is my newest fountain pen, and my regular writer these days.

Sorry about the dim lighting.

I like it a lot.
