Someone was very kind and sold me their TWSBI 580AL in Orange, which I sadly missed out on. Yay!! I've been using it, equipped with a Pilot F nib and Diamine Chocolate, to do some doodling today. Ink washed over with a Pentel Aquash waterbrush. The notebook I made myself with Staples Sustainable Earth copy paper. It's very fountain pen friendly.

The inability to erase ink. And who says it needs to be fixed? Adrien Brody rocks the crooked schnoz just fine.

I know the real Bender - as in the dude that the character is based upon. Great likeness to the animated character!

I will have holiday guests arriving tomorrow and have to pack away the mess in the house so I won't have access to my photo lights etc for a week or so. It's a busy period but also we get to spend some quality time with family and friends we don't usually get to see so I plan to enjoy the time fully.

I will (hopefully) be checking in to read this thread but I doubt I will be able to post anything much for a few days, so while I won't "speak" with you I hope everyone will have a wonderful holiday season.

Love this thread! I finally am up to date! I started late, so I went back, read full part I and just today finished part II in time for the end of year, which means I'll start 2016 perfectly!

First and foremost, fabulous penmanship! Regarding BunkiDou, browsed through their catalog this morning. The guys sure have a lot to offer. Nice to know about their service. Enjoy your music (nib)! ;)

Cool!

Now, my two pennies' worth. This week I'm trying to tame some (Pseudo?) Antiqua. Here's a more or less tidy sample:

A great quote and beautiful handwriting! I must confess to wanting to practice more, but keeping away for now from styles. I do admire and respect all the people here who can do them, but I'd like to develop my own personal handwriting. As someone posted (I'll try and check later and give credit) I also like appropriating certain characters or styles into my general handwriting, then I will go also try new stuff, trying to decide what stays and I'd rather chenge. I'll be the first to admit it makes for an inconsistent style! Maybe this will change later on...
