Enjoying a Parker Deluxe Challenger from the 1930s, restored by Dayne Nix in Monterey, California. Inked with Rohrer & Klingner verdigris. The nib feedback feels like the surface of a ping-pong ball -- a very pleasant writing experience. It's a button-filler and a fairly small pen, but posted, it feels nicely balanced.

Gustav Leonhardt is well remembered by many, including me. His recording of the Brandenburg Concerti is a favorite of mine.

The harpsichord used on that recording was very similar to mine, and I was honored to have him perform two concerts on my instrument here in Texas.

Rationalizing pen and ink purchases since 1967.

Ian, your pen vocabulary is contagious. Last Sunday I called a touchdown by our hometown football team -- the undefeated 13-0 Carolina Panthers -- a "stoater." Nobody knew what I was talking about.

A bit of practice this morning with the Desiderata Daedalus (Pelikan Edelstein Amethyst on Stillman&Birn Epsilon paper) before throwing myself into holiday cookery...

Nice writing there Pira! EoC was hoping the Daedalus would arrive before Christmas but it hasn't yet, alas. As for the Esties, I only have one more Osmiroid nib that needs a body, so that will be that. Honest!

No mysteries here. Have to find a way to show the true blue in these scans - here it looks almost black.

@ Fountainpenlady. Give my regards to my former home in Killeen.

I also am a big lover of Solstice. Solstice is as important as Christmas to me.

So I thought I'd give it a shot. Easy on the handwriting please, I've only been writing right handed for 2 months. Yes, I like to anthropomorphize the trees.
