I probably pass by that Greyhound station daily. Want me to tackle the guy for you?

Yeah, give him a copy of A Canticle For Leibowitz for me, will ya?

I have one of those; it's lovely to see what a 9788 can do in competent hands -- mine are, unfortunately, rather heavy, although I'm getting a bit better (the results of college note-taking, twenty years of radiography, and the accursed NCR paper our hospital adopted). Retirement has it's benefits. ;)

Lovely pens, are these the new version or old pens? I'm wondering how well the new ones perform.

This mention of shadow had piqued my curiosity, look what Amazon sells, anyone tried these? They look awfully big. They also have a Manuscript set with a Fountain pen to insert the nibs in,but no shadow nib.

TheInkluminati: Yay, Esterbrooks! Your penmanship is very pleasing. It gives me a feeling a of calmness.

EoC: I hope to get one of these blue versions for Christmas! A nice choice of ink to complement it, too. I've had my eye on Syrah for awhile, I should probably get a move on buying it after seeing so many samples recently.

Those are dip pen nibs. I suppose you could try to put them into a fountain pen, but they are not designed for that use and you would be hard pressed to find a fountain pen that would accommodate them. The fountain pens made by Manuscript use entirely different nibs.

@SNAK - Lovely lovely pen!

Thanks so much Highbinder! The old chook has fairly advanced case of ambering on the barrel, but I can only hope that I could age as graciously as she has done. :D

Great little pen! And I'm happy to know you love Tuckies. More pictures of my little Crest will follow, and in the meanwhile some other pens would like to say hello:

Thanks Eli, and I look forward to seeing more photos of your Crest. BTW I like your Aurora too! Such classic beauty.

Speaking of Sheaffer : here is the Levenger Sea collection. The Meditteranean and the Adriatic look almost identical in this picture ( photographer incompetence ) but they are each a lovely, diaphanous blue and purple, respectively.

Amazing collection! Wow! Obviously you are also a colours person. I am big into colours too!

Spencerian No. 28 Congressional Stub nib

Esterbrook 127 holder

Diamine Autumn Oak ink which looks great when it's caught in the cruciform vent hole and the light shines through. Also works great with dip pens right out of the bottle.

Thanks for your lovely comments.

That nib suits your hand really really nicely. I do love the look of your handwriting with that nib.

I like your drawing, TeaHive. Is your novel a fantasy adventure (judging from the pointy fairy ears)?

Beautiful pens, inks, and your handwriting!!! Love them!

Oh I just spotted the ink bottles placement. Garnet and Aventurine played musical chairs on you!

This is the newest pen I am playing with today. I just did a brief photo comparison of this Vac Mini and TWSBI Diamond Mini pens on this thread here if anyone is interested in seeing the Vac Mini up close.

Now THAT is BLUE!!! Amazing. I can't wait to get my Vac Mini (EF) in. I plan to put a Pilot Penmanship nib in it for super fine lines suitable for drawing. ^_^

You can do that? It would be VERY interesting to have my beloved Pilot nibs on a cool pen body.
