I had some serious flow issues with my Kaweco Sport and the 1.1 nib, even after tuning. Rather than dig the feed channel out a bit, I switched the 1.1 nib to the much wetter Cult Pens mini FP and threw a fine nib on the Sport. The results were much better all around. I like the Cult Pens mini, but the grip is a bit slippery, so I tend to hold it by the threads. If the grip section were designed a bit better, this would be the perfect mini fountain pen.

Pen: Cult Pens mini FP with 1.1 nib

Ink: Kaweco Blue

Paper: Staples Arc Notebook

I didn't even know there was such a critter. ...

Some guys have all the luck... Congrats on your 45 stub!

Inkfillet ~ I love ads and am always on the lookout for the best seasonal ones (but then I'm the daughter of a Canadian Ad man from the 60s era so it's in the blood)

Eliweisz ~ oh such lovely Sheaffers

Lovely they are, and great writers, too. Still looking for a Marine Green striated full-size Balance. And - would you believe I'm collecting scans of vintage Canadian ads? Love 'em.

After skipping one week without practice, a new pen and ink combination...

Another great sketch! Keep up the good work :)

Practice, patience, perseverance

Twsbi Diamond 580AL (1.1)

Diamine Florida Blue

I love the shading you get with Florida Blue, although It's probably not the right colour for this time of the year. B)

In saying that, not everywhere is dull, dreich, cold and wet though.

Beautiful! I really love the color of Diamine Evergreen. Thanks for sharing! Now I KNOW I have to get a bottle. ^_^

Maybe that extra X chromosome helps you see the green better, I even cut out a mask for the orange and still could barely tell it was green.

I know I'm not color blind. Perhaps this is the reason males aren't used to grade pearls. But I'm going to blame it on my monitor color resolution.

I first started with Diamine Salamander, but it turned out to be too dark.

So Evergreen is my second try to find *the* green ink.

Now I have a third, that you may also like Callifolio Olivastre.

The D. Evergreen is a Green-black ink family. But unlike D. Dark Green, this one has just enough yellow tint to make it interesting.

The other side of the spectrum of green that I cannot stand, is the Pilot Varsity, plain green.... boring.

My only experience is J Herbin Verte Empire which I use for everything. I really love green ink, I need to get some samples.

Funny, now that it is dark outside I can see the green clearly.

Beautiful!

I would think <singing and dancing> maybe not so momentary. Myrrh scented ink, what visions of the old silk road that thought conjures.

Congrats! Great pen, impressive writing sample.

It looks like Sheaffer's Day, uh? Here's another one (or two):

This is a sketch I did for this weeks topic on The Weekly Sketch thread. This week's topic was "Your Favourite Pen" but I couldn't possibly choose just one. These are my current favourite pens.

Watercolour over ink.

Pens sketched are: Montblanc 142 (Green Striated), Pelikan 400NN (Brown Tortoiseshell), Pelikan M101N (Red Tortoiseshell), and Nakaya Mini Decapod in Aka-tame Nuri.

My other Sheaffer is a Balance (blue and black marbled), and it is a wonderful writer! But your red (burgundy?) example is stunning. I love that color.

I simply ran across it on Ebay from a seller in England. According to him, the edition was limited to 300 pens, so I don't know if he has more to sell...
