Gorgeous pattern. Congrats!

Thank you! The Barleycorn was my first and remains my favorite. The new fantasy Sheaffer is quite pretty, though.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

That is one beautiful pen!

I was so thrilled that she had my nib. Terri at Peyton Street Pens may be able to find you another one.

The pen set I am using is the Speedball Collectors set gifted to me by my husband. I don't really like the Speedball inks that come with the set so I bought the FW Pearlescent ink set which I am loving very much and the Dr. Ph. Martin's Copper Plate Gold calligraphy ink which works great on both light and dark paper. The ink dries very shiny !

Ooooooh! Fancy!

Mine's not quite so fancy. But it's easy to tuck into a bag and take with me.

In my family, we have a pretty large group of "kids" in a generation born in the U.S. Most of our parents were born somewhere else. For most of that generation, English is not the first language, and let's see ... yup, lots of different languages as their first language. It's always a hoot when we get together. One of my favorite parts of the whole thing is everyone, and I mean everyone, telling jokes wrong. Doesn't matter, no one gets the jokes anyway. But everyone has figured out when to laugh, and up to half the time we're all laughing because none of us gets it.

I think for me that this thread is like hanging out with my family in that way – I generally don't know what we're talking about, but it's all pretty cool.

I have been using a Monteverde Invincia Stylus for the last few days, and really loving it. I am in awe of the shimmering brushed matte chrome finish (yup, shimmering and matte all at the same time). I really wanted the matte black version, but I managed to stumble upon this one for $40 including shipping, brand new. I'm really glad that I went for it, because it looks amazing. I tried to get a good picture of the reflective, shimmery quality of the pen's finish, but it just does not come across in pictures, you really have to see it in real life. The 1.1 nib works beautifully and I will probably be buying some more Monteverde stub nibs in the near future.

I'm trying out a new style of cursive italic handwriting. It is taking some getting used to, but it fits me a bit better than standard italic.

Pen: Monteverde Invincia Stylus (chrome) with stub nib

Ink: Chesterfield Antique Yankee

Paper: Staples Arc Notebook

Do you have to destroy the sleeve to get it off? Looking at an Osmiroid B3 and see that there is a second layer of metal between the nib and the feed. Not sure what that is all about.

Very nice ! The Deep Sea Green looks lovely and, speaking of singing, you make it hit a high note in your 149.
