Sorry, a bit off topic, but do you all know about the Vintage Pen Sale at Wonder Pens in August that Liz is planning? 1 - 5 pm Sunday 16th August. Should be fun.

 

Has anyone heard about who will be selling at this ? Would love to see some vintage Montblanc and Pelikans ...

I just checked Wonder Pens blog https://wonderpens.wordpress.com/2015/07/05/vintage-pen-market/ and there aren't any updates on the vendors at their "informal and small Vintage Pen Market ... on Sunday, August 16th from 1-5pm. Seems they're keeping it quite casual.

 

Let me know if there ant T.O. meetups planned in the meantime.

I attended the terrific Vintage Fountain Pen Market yesterday. https://wonderpens.wordpress.com/…/vintage-pen-market-how-i… Thanks for making it happen Wonder Pens!

 

I scored a 1930s Eclipse pen and pencil set from Jeffry and also handled a Marxton yellow pen for sale, both probably made in Toronto. The experience got me thinking about the century of Canadian writing instrument manufacture. As a new member of the f.p. community, I'm just learning about it myself.

 

At a time when users and collectors think nothing of importing pens from Taiwan, Japan, China, India, Pakistan, Europe or the US, isn’t it time to celebrate those makes which were produced for a century right here in Canada?
