Romillo Sil #9

Houston

Recommended Posts

That's good to hear. I've not had to have my Romillo serviced at all but it's good to know that it will be easy, should I ever need to.

Hmm ... I think the Sil will likely be my second Romillo. Will be a while from now as I have too many other commitments on pens for the next 6 months or so.

Just wonder aloud ... I wonder if the Romillo nibs could be put on a Kingsize Conid? If I understand correctly, the Romillo nibs are made to fit #8 Bock feeds - which Conid also uses. Would be very cool, if it's possible.

Would need Romillo to sell you the nib!

Lovely review (and mongrel's comparison was also very well done, thanks for the link).

I am afraid that since my own currency (the loonie) is in the tank against the euro, I will be holding off buying a Romillo for a few years but someday perhaps I will own one.

I will certainly enjoy watching them until then.

Great review. You had me going, when you were talking about being possibly let down. I'm not a serious writer but if I were, this would be on my list

Well, I may be crazy but I just pulled the trigger on a Sil #9. I chose terracotta ebonite, solid gold lentil roll stop, solid gold cabochon, #9-size Fine-Medium nib with generous ink flow. Should have it towards the end of February, early March. I'll definitely post some impressions when I get it.
