Black - Aurora

Aurora inks come in two basic colors: blue and black. Both inks are rich in tone. The bottle holds 45 ml of ink.

Aurora black is well -behaved black ink that can be considered as good choice for black users. As I'm not one of them I won't use the ink. I can however recommend it to those who seek well - behaved black ink.

My fave also. And this is a great review that shows all the aspects of this great ink. Thanks!

ps: Borealis Black by Noodlers (an attempt to deconstruct Aurora Black, according to Brian Goulet) is nowhere near as well behaved.

When you need a black ink, Aurora is a good choice.

Be Happy, work at it. Namaste

Aurora Black is one of my favorites. I tend to use Ink from a given company in that company's pens. With Aurora, I don't have too many options.

"One can not waste time worrying about small minds . . . If we were normal, we'd still be using free ball point pens." —Bo Bo Olson

"I already own more ink than a rational person can use in a lifetime." —Waski_the_Squirrel

I'm still trying to figure out how to list all my pens down here.

I own this ink, but I'm actually afraid of it. It's so serious, so button-down, so--so--corporate that when I have to use it, I find myself sitting up straighter, smoothing my hair, making sure my stockings don't have a run in them, pulling up the neckline of my blouse and tugging down the hem of my skirt--

What an exhausting ink. i've hardly used it, but I don't dare get rid of it. You just know I'll need it to write something important and prestigious someday, perhaps that letter asking the Fortune 500 CEO to donate to our non-profit, and what am I supposed to use then? Pilot Iroshizuku Ku-Jaku?

I don't think so.

No, I'll need this very ink if I expect to make the right impression and get that donation.

So there it sits in my ink cabinet, glowering at me with consternation at my frivolity in consorting with all those silly inks like Akkerman Orange Boven, DeAtramentis Violets, Diamine Hope Pink or--egads!--J Herbin Emerald of Chivor, when I really should be getting down to business, like the stately middle-aged lady I'm supposed to be. But then I stick out my tongue at it and grab the Waterman Blue Obsession and go on my merry way.

Aurora Black and Noodlers Old Manhattan Blackest Black are my go to inks when I need a black ink. Can't go wrong with either one. Thanks for the review, Vis.

Beautifully put. Message received, loud and clear :)
