Well it finally got here, long overdue

The local boutique only got a ballpoint for their display

But they did get my BB nib beauty

I'm really happy with the BB nib as well, might not usually be the best for everyday usage, but it should help me go through ink and notebooks faster so win/win?

Congratulations, jsolares, with the new Tolstoy! I am also pleased to see the Blue Hour ink sample; I am still waiting for my local MB Boutique to receive a supply of this ink.

Enjoy the BB nib!

Thanks all, here's some other photos, lots of variation to the blue piston knob, the flash makes it look a lot lighter than it is though.

I got the blue hour from Appelboom :), the local boutique still hasn't gotten any.

This Tolstoy is very popular and becomes scarce in Japan, especially ones with M nib.

How about your country?

This WE is starting to get to me again. I managed to avoid getting one in Nov as I've had 2 pens this year, but sometime next year I think I'll give in and get one. Great photographs.

That is a great achievment of self-control, I think you should reward that with a tolstoy;)

I touched the Tolstoy with my fingers at a Montblanc Boutique. Amazing! I think this pen may be the best masterpiece among Montblant's recent works though I come to lose interest in Montblanc

pens because of its poor repair service recently.

Today at last I have got Tolstoy with F nib. The pen is built very solidly. I feel that the price is very reasonable compared to 149. I believe this pen will become another Hemingway or Proust.

I received pen as a gift, though have not inked yet. I must say that the build quality and solid feel of the pen is impressive. The cap feels heavy even though it is "precious resin" (aka plastic). The soft closure of the cap is also a nice touch, much like the Thomas Mann WE. The barrel finish is really unique and feels fantastic. I must say that it certainly feels like one step up from other WEs, approaching the solid feel of a Patron pen. I had seen it in the store, but once it joined my other pens I realized how large it was. (See picture below with 149, 146 doue) The design is so unconventional that I'm sure it's a polarizing pen, but given its unique looks, solid rich feel, I'm sure it'll have strong following. Will it reach Proust level? I doubt it, but it'll certainly stand out in the WE lineup, and it's a great pen for the money compared to other similar priced offerings by MB.

Edited to add comparison photo.
