Kobe (神戸市 Kōbe-shi) is the sixth-largest city in Japan and is the capital city of Hyōgo Prefecture. It is located on the southern side of the main island of Honshū, on the north shore of Osaka Bayand about 30 km (19 mi) west of Osaka. With a population around 1.5 million, the city is part of the Kyoto-Osaka-Kobe metropolitan area along with Osaka and Kyoto. Its name comes from "kanbe" (神戸), an archaic title for supporters of the city's Ikuta Shrine. Kobe became one of Japan's 17 designated cities in 1956.

Kobe is famous for its shirines and nioce architecture but among fountain pen and ink afficionados the name Kobe cause increased heart-rate. The city is a home of Nagasawa-Kobe stationery shop that offers incredible lione of more than fifty inks made by Sailor.

My master - plan is to prepare comparison of full line of Nagasawa-Kobe inks. Not an easy task as they're not the most obtainable inks on the market, but hopefully I'll manage to do it :)

At the moment Nagasawa-Kobe offers 52 inks:

Sample of Suzuran Green was sent to me by White_Lotus. Thank you a lot. I haven't planned any ink purchases but I need this ink. Sooner than soon.

It's stunning.

Gorgeous, and an amazingly helpful review, as always! But I already have Rokko green and Sourakuen tea green. This looks midway between them.

If I had disposable cash, I would buy the Kobe - Nagasawa - Graphilo notebook, which has all fifty ink bottles and swatches on the covers, just for the sake of having it.

Quite apart from the fact I think Sailor makes the best ink in any possible universe, I adore the design of the Kobe labels and would love to have all fifty side-by-side to make a cityscape.

It seems there are 51 Kobe now. The latest one is a black or a blue black if I remember correctly.

Ooh I've been waiting to see what they'd come out with next! Have you seen any writing samples of it yet?

Wow Vis...

Question how long is if walking from Austria to Japan?

Das leben ist wie ein Perpetuum Mobile mit ein Mangel..... Immer im Bewegung jedoch nicht unendlich. (life is like a troubled Perpetuum Mobile ever moving but not for ever)

Tricked throughout the centuries...

For centuries people had been tricked by kings & "religion-alism"

In the 20th century people got tricked by communism

Today people get tricked by (neo)capitalism :)

Thank you for doing this review. I was considering this ink for a while but now that I see it, I much prefer the KWZI IG Green #1.

The seller cool-japan on Ebay. Many people here have ordered from him and rate him highly.

Found it. It's the one on the left. The other two are #38 and #7.

Thank you!

Thanks for the review. I love all those Sailor ink—some more than others. This is a nice one.

I'm still trying to figure out how to list all my pens down here.

I love the ink, but hate the bottle. That plastic insert they use is the worst. Does anyone really like that things?
