Lamy "microsoft" Safari

I thought I would share a few pictures of my Lamy Safari "Microsoft" pen. It sat in my box of misc. pens for over 20 years, until I recently remembered I still had it. It was a sales award/promo item given to a good friend of mine, who then gave it to me - because he knew of my "collection" of techinical pens and pencils. As near as either of us can recall, this was around 1987-8 - just about the time that Microsoft changed to this logo.

And no, this does not work on a Surface Pro (any model). :)

Now that's one fine operating system you got there, Hoss. Does it support cloud computing? I'll bet just like Windows, if you put java in the converter, it won't work.

Apple had one too. I love the collectible factor of the Safaris.

I'd love to see the Apple Safari, if anybody had a picture of it?

I agree. "Wow!"

A Safari with an Apple logo is in there. The brat pens from Lamy are probably good for journaling while camping. And those bears you stick in the pocket clips are really clever.

Pens were the original "Pen enabled operating system", without the nasty side effect of the Blue Screen of Death! Well, at least if you didn't spill the ink. They do still require a tablet (of paper) to function properly, though.

I don't know if I would recommend using the nib side of a fountain pen on an actual computer tablet, though. From a new-ish Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 AnyPen ad:
