Thanks for the this review, vis. Like cyber6, I clicked on this thread expecting a more golden color and was pleasantly surprised to see this lovely dark brown, similar to Yama-guri. Perhaps too similar if one already has YG.

Tried this on Gmund 170g creme and M&K white paper.

Pelikan Celebry F, true regular flex nib.

On the M&K paper 90g it is a tad to red.

No drift to red that I noticed on the creme 170g paper.

 

There was shading on both papers and not a huge difference between the two papers...the heavier paper a tad darker.

 

Was not on either case a black brown of 'sepia', of Visumaitra, but carmel.

 

Whereas once I'd never buy cartridges, did now***, in I got them to test, Palm Green, Smokey Gray, the shading orange and this carmel brown. E1.65 per six pack....international small.

 

I have too many bottles of inks.
