This is the sixth Franklin Christoph current generation ink I'll be reviewing. Current generation inks include the following:

Classic Black

Blue 72

Red 187

Brown 732

Emerald 357

Noir et Bleu

Dark Chocolate

Midnight Emerald

The numbers in the ink names indicate their Pantone number.

Today I'm reviewing Brown 732 which is a very well behaved ink which is well saturated and a middle of the road brown. It shades beautifully. Like all Franklin Christoph inks, it tends toward alkaline at about pH 8.0.

Franklin Christoph ink is made in the USA and bottled at their Releigh, NC facility.

FC ink comes in 2 oz. (59ml) bottles and costs $12.50/bottle or .21/ml.

This looks like a really nice shading ink that I would feel comfortable calling a sepia. Quite impressive.

Yet another reddish brown, but it does shade nicely on what I assume is Tomoe River paper.

Rationalizing pen and ink purchases since 1967.
