This is my favorite for a water resistant wet vivid purple.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

How are folks getting KWZI these days? That is beautiful and I really like purple ink for my personal writing.

I also like the darker purples. Two of my favorites are Montblanc Lavender Purple and J. Herbin Poussiere de Lune, although they might be too red-tinged for your taste. Another really interesting ink is Rohrer and Klingner Scabiosa, which is a lilac gray, not at all tinged with red, but highly variable in how dark it is on different papers.

I am starting to think that I got an anomalous bottle of Diamine Grape. Mine is so close to black that at work everyone has assumed it is black.

Another vote for the Montblanc Lavender Purple, I am not a huge purple fan but I do really enjoy this ink from time to time. I do not have any images but there is a review on it here at https://www.fountainpennetwork.com/forum/topic/228303-mont-blanc-lavender-purple/

When is the next group buy?

I'm still trying to figure out how to list all my pens down here.

The Montblanc Lavender Purple is one of my favourite inks. It's a nice dark purple with beautiful (almost black) shading.

Don't forget to add that to the purple thread.

There is another good blue purple from Sailor special store series by Kingdom Note, called Sasakia Charonda (O-Murasaki) which I enjoy. It's the latin name of this particular butterfly in Japan. I just remembered it as you mentioned the Japanese companies. I have a writing sample of it from another thread that I posted a little while ago. This ink behaves well just as many other Sailor inks, has great flow, and doesn't stain my demonstrator pens too badly. But purple inks are purple inks, I wouldn't put them in pure white pens for example.

That is a beautiful color. It is so hard to choose a purple.

It seems to me that finding a purple/violet ink that does not look like a blue ink is a tough job. (For me at least.) I must continue the hunt.

Try Diamine Grape, for me it seems a bit reddish for my taste
