And 41, the Sheaffer Legacy I (factory stub) again (this pen is remarkably at ease drinking from a low level ink lake)

When the ink level became a problem for the TWSBI I was going to recommend another Sheaffer: a snorkel or tip-dip. It's nice to see that the Legacy can also face this situation with ease. I have to add it to my recommendation list.

I do admire your determination to finish this bottle. I'm nowhere near finishing any of mine. Can't wait for the next fill.

I envy you: you're close to the end of the bottle.

I find this color terrible boring and I don't know how I will ever manage to finish it...

Have you thought about PIF/trading samples of it to others for inks you may like better? Or perhaps selling it?

You have a bottle you don't like while I sit here wishing I could justify spending that much on ink. Power on. Maybe it's like beer. Ya know, Stockholm synd... I mean, an acquired taste.

I had often wondered where the gif in KaB's signature originated from. I feel better knowing this thread exists. What a neat idea!

I think there are more than 50 fills in the bottle if KaB uses a syringe, but under 50 without a syringe.

KaB, what's the plan on extracting that last bit of inky goodness?

What will happen once it's gone? Will we have season 2 of this thrilling series?

There will be an unexpected twist, I guess. He will either 'accidentally' spill the remaining ink or reveal that he has been sucking the ink into the pen and then pouring it into an empty bottle. The Tsuki-Yo will reincarnate.

Or he will start using dip pens.

Or pour some Pelikan Blue-Black inside.

Or spray paint the inside of the bottle to make us wonder if it is empty or not (a Schrodinger's bottle of Tsuki-Yo).

:)

Then he'll make a Bollywood version of the story, where the bottle and the pens will dance and sing, and after that a Hollywood version, in which the bottle will get shattered, but will keep fighting nonetheless. Michel Houellebecq will write a book about the bottle being a symbol of decadence. The bottle will gain international recognition and its fans will develop a new religion, tsukiyonism. Its believers will have nib-shaped hats and hands stained with ink. Step by step, the religion will spread and it will slowly become the most popular religion of all continents. The fountain pen enthusiast will take up the reins and rule the world. The self-copy paper will be banned and the poorest people will get free Preppy pens, as well as a special ink reimbursement. The world peace will become a reality, because the people will sit and use their pens instead of fighting.

EDIT: replaced one word.

I believe that in the season finale, the Vac700 will return, though we all thought it was done for and gone forever. Somehow (not even the writers of the series know), it survived living in the inky desert for all these months, and will come back a changed pen. It will admit that it actually prefers the company of Snorkels (*gasp*), and those two will move along after the Tsuki-Yo to further Iroshizuko adventures. Meanwhile, Vista sits empty in a corner for a couple of weeks, maybe getting a half-fill of 4001 Black now and then.

Who knows what will happen to it in season two though? Will it get a grip and carve its own independent way through the workman's inks of Lamy and Noodler's Black? Will it fall into decadence and avantgarde and subsist exclusively on L'Artisan Pastellier? Or will it slowly stalk its former companions, slurping the drops and dregs left behind after Snorkel's and Vac's more and more extravagant ink parties?

Tune in next July for the thrilling season finale of Most Boring!

This needs to be some kind of TV series!

In season 6 it will be revealed that Walter White was Iroshizuku's employee and tried to make Tsuki-Yo all the time, but he kept failing and finally decided to make Edelstein Topaz. His disobedience will be discovered by Vac during his desert period and Mr White will be stubbed in the back by a crisp italic in season 7.

What a laugh. Especially this one. As a Houellebecq fan, I can imagine various ways he'd turn the bottle into a symbol of decadence. Non fit for mentioning on this forum :excl:

Tsukiyonism, why not. Just read about 'cargo cult' the other day (Banville, one of my other favourite authors). Look it up and you won't believe your eyes!

I definitely use it 'till the last drop. I guess the vista will require a syringe already at the next fill. The Sheaffer looks like it'll fill for a few more fills. Once he stops, there's just the vista left.

As a matter of fact, I've been thinking about the sequel already quite a lot.

Promise you: it won't be another bottle of Tsuki-Yo.

Already started to discard the idea of doing this exercise again with a different ink.

The best idea up till now: an even far more boring topic. 'I just emptied this bottle', where I'd only post ONE pic of a bottle, the moment I did the last filling from it. So that would we an incredibly slow topic. With nothing but surprises.

One thing wrong with it though: there's no building up of tension.

So I'll take the modern route: co-creation: what ingredients would YOU guys like to see in the second season?
